Communications
I am usually on at 5:00 a.m - 7:12 a.m and 4:00 p.m. - Whenever ( my time ).
I never get to see anyone on or communicate with them. Is there a tiome when we can all be on? A chatroom perhaps?

Re: Communications
my hours are pretty flexible. I'm sure our times overlap somewhere, i just don't feel like doing the time conversion right now. Anything that doesn't involve sound or whatever would be best in case I have to meet during class.

Re: Communications
I check back here whenever I feel like it, but I usually have the most time after 18:00. If I don't have schoolwork, mind you. I live in Belgium, GMT +1. And I suggest the IRC channel I set up a while back, you can still use it. Just click the link at the top, fill in a username and voila, you're set.
--edit:: I forgot, it's UTC +1 nowadays. Anyways, it's Central European Time (You gotta love Wikipedia)

Re: Communications
Well, I live in USA, Tennesee. My time zone is Central America. I'm not entirely sure how many hours of difference that is. :/
I'll check out the IRC thing. I'd feel better knowing that I'm actually working with people. I sometime feel like I'm a secret agent in this job. I come here and put information here and there and drop off this and that, but I never actually see anyone.
Hopefully this IRC will suffice the "quiteness" for me.
BTW: I never do homework at home. I do it a few hours before it's due. :]

Re: Communications
If Wangy is -5, Maverick'll be around -6? I think we can make it work. I'm usually on till about ... this late it's almost 4 am here (better get to bed ^^ )
And I know what you mean, Maverick. I like forums, but it's not a great way to get to know people, it's so ... you know

Re: Communications
As I said I'm pretty busy and the only thing I can say is that I'll be having a bit more time around Christmas. Everything else would be speculation...

Re: Communications
We'll find some way for this to work. I know people who have had worse. I'm sure communication will kick up once the programmers know how to use my engine.
But the spriters can be working on the art now. They have no excuse. ^_^
So if the artists finish before the code, then they get a good long break. Where's the documentation for this game again, anyways? ...

Re: Communications
SpriterS? Who are they?
Anyway, I think it's best for now if I help with the graphics? I don't think OhMeSpelt can handle it alone? I understand that he's quite busy.
And documentation is scarce I think. Maybe Wangy has some more docs?

Re: Communications
I don't have any more dd's right now...but I could make some if that's what's keeping us from starting since we don't have much direction.

Re: Communications
DD's? If you are reffering to the documentation, it is vital to finish
the doucmentation way before any programing and artwork is done.
Typically, this is how a great game is made:
1) Document is completely writen
2) Programers make a basis for the game based on documentation
3)
Based on bare-bones framework from programers and details form
doucmentions, the spriters make tons of prototyped artwork and gameplay
graphics in which are then implemented.
4) Programming and artwork is completed, in no needed order.
5) The music and sound effects are composed and implemented into game
6) Polishing is done alone with packaging/publishing.
(
If this is not a commercial project, which I highly doubt it is, then
advertisment and section from a website is dedicated to the game )
7) Celebrate
