This entire time Wangburger and I have been working on the basics. Right now I'm trying to send him a version of the game engine that can lock frame rates which was an idea that never crossed my mind when I made the game engine.

Yeah, sorry but life and internet have been crazy :/
I'll definitely check out the engine tomorrow, after school. (it's on my to-do list!) Anyway, if you could still use some help, I'd be more than happy to oblige. It seems you guys got the programming part covered? If you'd like I'd be able to whip up some ship designs by the end of the week? (or anything you'd like) I have some free time, finally.

Like I told Wangburger, during the time of nothingness here I've been adding to the game engine so I'd advise not to download the one at the site. I'll release the new one which includes a lot of features such as the object managers, camera class, and what-not. Also, I'm going to implement DevIL for image support so we won't be limited. I'm giving him the "really early Beta" so he can at least view graphical objects such as menus and what-not. I suck, I know. :]
